After 4 minutes, Paulo Borba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Alcobertas and the Rominha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Humberto Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, SC Alcobertas's goalkeeper Albertino Miranda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Lima. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, João Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rominha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Bessa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute Artur Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Castro having to interfere. João Bessa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Albertino Miranda made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Paulo Borba notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rominha FC's Humberto Castro. Humberto Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the game, Amílcar Faria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Alcobertas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rominha FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Alcobertas's Amílcar Faria got a free kick in the 29th minute. With a little luck, SC Alcobertas's Albertino Miranda got control of the ball when Eusébio Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Artur Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Alcobertas's protests and gave Artur Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Artur Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Eusébio Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Rominha FC's Eusébio Lima got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Vale in the 36th minute of play forced Rominha FC's goalkeeper Humberto Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Amílcar Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 minutes of play, SC Alcobertas's Mário Viegas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Rominha FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Alcobertas were winning 0-2.

SC Alcobertas's Joel Jesus was substituted for André Aleixo. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Vale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vítor Moreira took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albertino Miranda. Albertino Miranda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The supporters of SC Alcobertas booed when Rominha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Bessa in the 72nd minute of play forced SC Alcobertas's goalkeeper Albertino Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Viegas in the 75th minute of the match. If Artur Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Rominha FC's goalkeeper Humberto Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Jesus. Humberto Castro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Borba showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 80 minute of play. Humberto Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Borba in the 85th minute of the match. Humberto Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Viegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SC Alcobertas booed when Rominha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, SC Alcobertas's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Lima came free, but Albertino Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur Ramos got free with Humberto Castro in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SC Alcobertas played a much better game than Rominha FC and deserved their victory. The Rominha FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
