Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Alcobertas's Albertino Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veríssimo Rocha in the 38th minute of play. Artur Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, SC Alcobertas's goal looked a bit too open when Gervásio Bezerra came free, but Albertino Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusébio Malta made a kick off. If Joel Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. Bruno Jordão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Borba in the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of SC Alcobertas booed when Vasco da Gama Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Domingos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
