Pedro Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Vítor Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Machado in the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Vagos FC booed when SC TAP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Amadeu Fonseca put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Faria. Amadeu Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raul Freitas might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Freitas ran back to his position shaking his head. Amadeu Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Pedro Faria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vagos FC. Pedro Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Pedro Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC TAP getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Donato Ramalho hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Eliseu Patrício hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vagos FC's Amadeu Fonseca couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC TAP. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC TAP's goalkeeper Pedro Faria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in SC TAP's zone, Raul Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Faria came out of the goal and Raul Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. If Amadeu Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 58th minute Raul Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Vagos FC's Raul Freitas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. The tension between the SC TAP and the Vagos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 92 minutes into the match, SC TAP's goalkeeper Pedro Faria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amadeu Fonseca. The Vagos FC fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Vagos FC's Amadeu Fonseca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
