After a defensive mix-up in Lavradio FC's zone, Marco Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alcino Vilar came out of the goal and Marco Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Moreira struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Alcino Vilar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nadadouro FC. The attack was good, but when Oliveira Freitas in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Alcino Vilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveira Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Carlos Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Lúcio Peixoto from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Delfim Vale's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliveira Freitas made a kick off. Nadadouro FC's Oliveira Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Alcino Vilar made a huge save. 56 minutes into the match, Nadadouro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Osório came free, but Delfim Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lavradio FC's Alcino Vilar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Lavradio FC from getting a goal against them. Lavradio FC were furious when Cassiano Chagas was red carded, 78 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match had been going on for 80 minutes, Nadadouro FC's Raul Resende got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nadadouro FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
