After 13 played minutes, Marmeleira FC's Sebastião Campos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Filipe Dias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marmeleira FC reached it. The supporters of Marmeleira FC booed when Curros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Marmeleira FC's Rafael Torres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filipe Dias. That made the score 2-0 after 19 minutes of play. Filipe Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Carvalho in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Curros's Cristiano Ferro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kerimhan Yanal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Filipe Dias was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Francisco Garcia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francisco Garcia really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Raul Sá was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Filipe Dias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. If Paulo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kerimhan Yanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Ferro in the 37th minute of play. Francisco Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Dias having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

David Moniz's late challenge caught a Marmeleira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Moniz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Curros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Moniz to maneuver through the defense. Filipe Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Amaral in the 53rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Paulo Carvalho put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Filipe Dias. After 57 minutes of play, Marmeleira FC's Paulo Carvalho made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filipe Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafael Torres's late challenge caught a Curros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Marmeleira FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristiano Ferro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. When Sebastião Campos came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Marmeleira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Campos couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Marmeleira FC's Kerimhan Yanal got control of the ball when Cristiano Ferro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87thth minute of the game Paulo Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curros's Filipe Dias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kerimhan Yanal acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Duarte Leite. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Marmeleira FC fully deserved thier win.
