Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Junqueiros FC's Ricardo Castanheira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Junqueiros FC's Ricardo Castanheira got a free kick in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, FC Porto's Jaime Moniz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Viriato Castilho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Américo Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 26 minutes into the game, Xavier Moita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Américo Alves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Junqueiros FC's Olívio Fidalgo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Castanheira in the 35th minute of play forced FC Porto's goalkeeper Américo Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Américo Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xavier Moita in the 36th minute. After 38 minutes of play, Junqueiros FC's Ricardo Castanheira made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Américo Alves was left in no man's land by his defense there! 41 minutes into the match, FC Porto's goalkeeper Américo Alves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Porto. In the 43rd minute, Olívio Fidalgo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Junqueiros FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 48th minute, Junqueiros FC's Olívio Fidalgo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Américo Alves. Américo Alves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Moniz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Jaime Moniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Porto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Moniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Américo Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Castanheira in the 57th minute of the match. Américo Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Fidalgo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Américo Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Moita in the 70th minute of play. Ricardo Castanheira might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Américo Alves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Castanheira ran back to his position shaking his head. Américo Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Castanheira in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Herberto Ribas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Junqueiros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Herberto Ribas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Porto's Américo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Porto in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Ricardo Castanheira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Américo Alves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Porto went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Américo Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Moita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Porto's Américo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Porto in the 95th minute of play.
