Egídio Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Menezes in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Menezes in the 13th minute of play forced S L BENFICA's goalkeeper Egídio Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murilo Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Egídio Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jarbas Estrada came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the S L BENFICA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarbas Estrada couldn't finish the play. If Murilo Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egídio Arruda came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Amiozinho FC's Silvestre Menezes. But to his dismay, Silvestre Menezes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of S L BENFICA booed when Amiozinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Gueifão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Jarbas Estrada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Ferraz was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 45th minute Jarbas Estrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvestre Menezes made a kick off. Silvestre Menezes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the game, Marco Caeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S L BENFICA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amiozinho FC the free kick. Marcos Estrela charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Estrela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Marcos Estrela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas Estrada in the 69th minute of the match. Lázaro Candeias kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 81 minutes, Lázaro Candeias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amiozinho FC and the S L BENFICA players grew even worse after the yellow card. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
