Nuno Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Raul Neves made a huge save. Augusto Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bento Oliveira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Raul Neves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 14th match minute, Futebol Clube do Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Bulhosa's late challenge caught a BENFICA CASTRO MARIM CITY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Bento Oliveira took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Neves. Raul Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Raul Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BENFICA CASTRO MARIM CITY's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
