Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Miguel Leite took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute of the match Vasco Leão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olívio Lencastre showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Alvor's Augusto Coimbra got a free kick in the 7th minute. If Miguel Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Paixão hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, SC Cortezaes's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Leite came free, but Olívio Lencastre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Gomes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olívio Lencastre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. If Miguel Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Paixão kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Tiago Santos was a little too slow when Gervásio Taborda got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-0. Baltasar Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tiago Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olívio Lencastre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Baltasar Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Alvor's goalkeeper Tiago Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidro Cerqueira. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvor's goalkeeper Tiago Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Olívio Lencastre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Leite in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gervásio Taborda made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Alvor's Miguel Leite got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Miguel Leite struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Olívio Lencastre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvor. 57 minutes into the game, Miguel Pacheco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alvor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Cortezaes the free kick. In the 58th match minute, Alvor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Miguel Leite got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Joaquim Gomes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Olívio Lencastre skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Miguel Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute of the match Nélson Carvalhal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiago Santos skillfully saved the ball. 79 minutes into the match, SC Cortezaes's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Gomes came free, but Olívio Lencastre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Gervásio Taborda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cortezaes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervásio Taborda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gil Teixeira hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. SC Cortezaes's Olívio Lencastre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Leite in the 96th minute of play.
