Morcheeba were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after URC Faiares's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Álvaro Leiria took the corner. Murilo Lages tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Ivan Durães. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 5th minute. André Ferreira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enzo Amaro went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Morcheeba's André Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Cordeiro in the 13th minute of play. With 16 minutes on the clock, Murilo Lages commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 20th match minute, URC Faiares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Amaro to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes, Morcheeba's Álvaro Leiria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivan Durães came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Morcheeba reached it. José Carvalheira charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Carvalheira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, URC Faiares's José Carvalheira got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th match minute, URC Faiares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carvalheira to maneuver through the defense. Enzo Amaro in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of André Ferreira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Caio Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Caio Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 31 minutes into the match, Morcheeba's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Maciel came free, but André Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mário Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ivan Durães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte Lisboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. URC Faiares's Ivan Durães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Pedroso in the 44th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in URC Faiares's zone, Jorge Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Durães came out of the goal and Jorge Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Pedroso was the one to do the kick off. Mário Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Pedroso in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Durães saved URC Faiares from getting behind. In the 61st match minute, URC Faiares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Neiva to maneuver through the defense. André Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mário Pedroso struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ivan Durães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morcheeba. After some careless play in the Morcheeba defense, Caio Maciel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Ferreira. The Morcheeba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Ferreira should have stopped the shot. Jorge Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Durães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Nunes in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mário Pedroso in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Durães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the match, Morcheeba's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Maciel came free, but André Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caio Maciel struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. André Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for URC Faiares. A collision led to URC Faiares getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Caio Maciel hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Pedroso in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Durães saved URC Faiares from getting behind. When Morcheeba's Mário Pedroso in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye URC Faiares's goalie prevented a goal.
