Nuno Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, João Delgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Nuno Fonseca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquim Raposo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 17 minutes, Fernando Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coucoes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Viegas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquim Raposo was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. João Fontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tarcísio Corte-Real in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Coucoes's zone, Alexandre Viegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Raposo came out of the goal and Alexandre Viegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Viegas struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Joaquim Raposo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sacoto FC. Coucoes's Joaquim Raposo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Viegas in the 29th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Coucoes got a freekick which was hit by Gusmão Sobral. When Alexandre Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Sacoto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Viegas couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Viegas in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Raposo saved Coucoes from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Leal made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Coucoes's zone, Nuno Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Raposo came out of the goal and Nuno Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Nuno Fonseca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquim Raposo. That made the score 0-2 in the 58 minute of play. Nuno Fonseca in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquim Raposo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Israel Fraga hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Joaquim Raposo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Francisco Pinto. After a defensive mix-up in Coucoes's zone, Nuno Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Raposo came out of the goal and Nuno Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Coucoes's goalkeeper Joaquim Raposo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nuno Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquim Raposo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. João Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcísio Corte-Real in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, Coucoes's Joaquim Raposo got control of the ball when Nuno Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Coucoes's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Viegas came free, but Joaquim Raposo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Raposo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 89th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandre Viegas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquim Raposo. That made the score 0-4 in the 93 minute of play. João Delgado kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Sacoto FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
