In the 10th match minute, Fermelha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Marques to maneuver through the defense. SLB gaspar's Silvano Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Marques in the 19th minute of play. When Paulo Vilaça came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the SLB gaspar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Vilaça couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Adolfo Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fermelha's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Coimbra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvano Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Tomás Campos made a precise shot to the right of Silvano Alves. SLB gaspar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Teodoro Sales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Vilaça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After a defensive mix-up in SLB gaspar's zone, Tomás Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvano Alves came out of the goal and Tomás Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Vilaça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but João Nogueira made a huge save. 67 minutes into the game, Adolfo Coimbra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fermelha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SLB gaspar the free kick. In the 67th minute, Adolfo Coimbra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Augusto Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Sales in the 76th minute of play. If Paulo Vilaça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th match minute, Fermelha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Costa to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Fermelha booed when SLB gaspar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Roriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Paulo Vilaça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SLB gaspar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Vilaça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SLB gaspar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
