Spectators: 7126 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 50) When Jorge Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the SC Celada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Pereira couldn't finish the play. After 4 minutes, Reginaldo Vilarinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menexas and the SC Celada players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Celada booed when Menexas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Vilarinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorge Pereira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gastão Ramos. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Veríssimo Graça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Menexas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Celada the free kick. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Menexas! The goalkeeper, Gastão Ramos, was totally fooled by SC Celada's Júlio Costa, who 12 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 17th minute Jorge Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gastão Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reginaldo Vilarinho kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Pedro Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gastão Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Menexas's zone, Sandro Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gastão Ramos came out of the goal and Sandro Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Pereira might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gastão Ramos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Pereira ran back to his position shaking his head. Edson Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Salazar in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Menexas's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Pereira came free, but Gastão Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edson Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Adelino Salazar made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, SC Celada's goalkeeper Edson Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Almiro Cunha. After a rather tough play, Menexas's Reginaldo Vilarinho got a free kick in the 54th minute. Menexas were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after SC Celada's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teodoro Mansilha took the corner. In the 66th minute, Sandro Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Menexas's Gastão Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Vale in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Jorge Pereira notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Menexas's Gastão Ramos. Gastão Ramos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of SC Celada booed when Menexas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Valadão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Adelino Salazar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menexas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Salazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 89 played minutes SC Celada got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Vale. SC Celada walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
