After a rather tough play, Mogofores's Rafael Gonçalves got a free kick in the 6th minute. The supporters of Mogofores booed when Fornelos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Camacho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Filipe Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mogofores's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Raul Caeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 25 minutes, Carlos Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mogofores's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filipe Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carlos Soares's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Duarte Campelo firmly grabbed it by the left post. 50 minutes into the match, Fornelos's Cássio Camacho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emílio Borges narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filipe Viegas was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Carlos Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duarte Campelo was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. A collision led to Fornelos getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Cássio Camacho hit a great ball. After 71 minutes of play, Mogofores's Filipe Viegas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duarte Campelo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Duarte Campelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Viegas in the 75th minute of play. When Filipe Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Mogofores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Viegas couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Fornelos's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Soares came free, but Duarte Campelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Igor Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Emílio Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Camacho in the 96th minute of play. Fornelos's Cássio Camacho got a good chance for a goal in the 100th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mogofores's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
