Manuel Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Barcelos having to interfere. After 20 minutes, Cristiano Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abunheira and the SC Miradeses players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristiano Rodrigues hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Manuel Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Catarino Barcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Sérgio Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Miradeses's supporters rose to their feet, but Sérgio Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Catarino Barcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Barbosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Catarino Barcelos having to make a save. If Cristiano Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 69 minutes, Manuel Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Miradeses's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
