Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Manuel Loureiro made the kick off which started today's match. Augusto Branco struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Adalberto Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caetanos FC. SL FOFIA's Adalberto Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Branco in the 8th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Bento Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caetanos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bento Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Laureano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Caetanos FC got a freekick which was hit by David Moniz. SL FOFIA's Jorge Laureano got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Loureiro in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lúcio Borba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the match, SL FOFIA's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Branco came free, but Adalberto Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Adalberto Alves managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Caetanos FC's Bento Dantas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bento Dantas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Adalberto Alves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lúcio Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Laureano, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Manuel Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SL FOFIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lúcio Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Loureiro in the 43rd minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Branco to strike the kick off in the second half. Augusto Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Alves having to interfere. After 57 minutes, Aldo Baía mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SL FOFIA and the Caetanos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Caetanos FC. Pedro Leite stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adalberto Alves. 1-0. Adalberto Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Jorge Laureano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Caetanos FC's Augusto Branco in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SL FOFIA's goalie prevented a goal. 79 minutes into the match, SL FOFIA's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Dantas came free, but Adalberto Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SL FOFIA's zone, Bento Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Alves came out of the goal and Bento Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Augusto Branco came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Caetanos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Branco couldn't finish the play. After 89 minutes, Armando Semedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SL FOFIA and the Caetanos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Laureano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Lúcio Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
