In the 39th minute Hipólito Taborda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Corte-Real saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to BOB Team getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Gil Malafaia hit a great ball. SC Cela were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after BOB Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matias Caires took the corner. The corner led SC Cela's Matias Caires to fire away a dangerous shot which Ricardo Corte-Real despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hipólito Taborda to strike the kick off in the second half.
