Paulo Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timóteo Menezes having to interfere. Timóteo Menezes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Paulo Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, SC Cela's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Moura came free, but Timóteo Menezes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, one of Serrinho FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Serrinho FC. Hipólito Taborda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Miguel Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the SC Cela defense, Paulo Coimbra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timóteo Menezes. The SC Cela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timóteo Menezes should have stopped the shot. In the 45th match minute, SC Cela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nivaldo Bragança to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Manuel Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serrinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timóteo Menezes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Paulo Coimbra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Timóteo Menezes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Miguel Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Azevedo having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Manuel Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serrinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Timóteo Menezes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC Cela getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Roberto Peixoto hit a great ball. Pedro Sá was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, SC Cela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Miguel Moura fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Miguel Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Timóteo Menezes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Peixoto hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Serrinho FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. After a rather tough play, Serrinho FC's Manuel Veiga got a free kick in the 91st minute. João Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipólito Taborda in the 95th minute of the match. The Serrinho FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
