Spectators: 6763 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carlos Mendes took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gaspar Pinto's late challenge caught a SC Engenho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Pinto helped the player get up and apologised. Gaspar Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Carlos Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to SC Engenho getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Catarino Trindade hit a great ball. Avinjes's Lisandro Bandeira got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Machado hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Márcio Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Bandeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Avinjes's Márcio Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lisandro Bandeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Lisboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Carlos Mendes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Avinjes's Igor Moutinho. Igor Moutinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlos Mendes struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Igor Moutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Engenho. Carlos Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Igor Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Márcio Miranda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Avinjes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Adolfo Matias took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igor Moutinho. Igor Moutinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Avinjes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Engenho were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lisandro Bandeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raul Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raul Araújo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raul Araújo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Márcio Miranda in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Lisboa saved SC Engenho from getting behind. In the 60thth minute of the game Carlos Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avinjes's Igor Moutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Avinjes's Lisandro Bandeira got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Lisboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Bandeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Carlos Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Igor Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Adolfo Matias got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Igor Moutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Mendes in the 94th minute of play. The SC Engenho players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
