Samuel Vilhena struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Júlio Paixão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MAL FC. In the 16th minute, André Bettencourt made a precise shot to the right of Marco Espírito Santo. MAL FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Murtal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Estrada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 26th minute, Samuel Vilhena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mário Estrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Júlio Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mário Estrada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. MAL FC's Enzo Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Samuel Vilhena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murtal's Júlio Paixão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Telinhos in the 43rd minute of play. If Nivaldo Valério had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Murtal fans cheered their team off the field, for while MAL FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
