Eusébio Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After 86 played minutes, Velhas's Inácio Nogueira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper David Dias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Velhas reached it. If Eusébio Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, Xavier Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tarouquela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velhas the free kick. Xavier Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Tarouquela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
