When Anselmo Camargo came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SC Romarigaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Camargo couldn't finish the play. With his leg Luís Pereira managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when SC Romarigaes's David Perdigão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, AOW FC's Luís Pereira got control of the ball when David Perdigão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anselmo Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Pereira having to interfere. When Serafim Brochado fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. David Perdigão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Pereira having to make a save. Anselmo Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Pedro Parente made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, David Perdigão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
