Jordão Carvalhais hit a great ball. Abel Moutinho came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Gibaltar FC's Alfredo Araújo. But to his dismay, Alfredo Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19thth minute of the game Alfredo Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but clube do rio's Abel Moutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lourenço Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Moutinho having to interfere. If João Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Jorge Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. clube do rio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Pimentel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Araújo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Gibaltar FC's zone, Diego Belo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basílio Leite came out of the goal and Diego Belo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basílio Leite was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
