After a rather tough play, Arnoso's Rui Pinho got a free kick in the 27th minute. A collision led to Arnoso getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Joaquim Santos hit a great ball. After taking down the ball on Arnoso's corner Catarino Abreu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alex Lameiras quite easily take care of the ball. In the 46th minute, Éder Balsemão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Abel Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Arnoso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Araújo couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Adelino Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Zambujal, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The supporters of Fim da Mentira booed when Arnoso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélder Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Fim da Mentira's zone, Abel Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Lameiras came out of the goal and Abel Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Arnoso players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fim da Mentira.
