With his leg Nélson Telinhos managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Freiria FC's Cássio Paixão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Domingos Álvares came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Freiria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Álvares couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Fonseca in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucílio Pimenta saved Freiria FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Freiria FC's Adriano Lustosa got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Lucas Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucas Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucílio Pimenta having to interfere. If Adriano Lustosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nélson Telinhos was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Cássio Paixão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cássio Paixão really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Albérico Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laureano Freitas during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Freiria FC booed when SC Valbona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingos Álvares struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Nélson Telinhos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freiria FC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. When Albérico Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Freiria FC's protests and gave Albérico Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 53 minutes, Lucas Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Valbona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Freiria FC's Albérico Teixeira got a free kick in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Domingos Álvares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Freiria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Álvares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nélson Telinhos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute Domingos Álvares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nélson Telinhos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee gave Freiria FC a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by António Brás, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Valbona's Nélson Telinhos. 2-0. Nélson Telinhos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Álvares in the 70th minute of the match. After 71 minutes of play, Freiria FC's Domingos Álvares made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nélson Telinhos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nélson Telinhos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Paixão, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After some careless play in the SC Valbona defense, Domingos Álvares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nélson Telinhos. The SC Valbona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nélson Telinhos should have stopped the shot. Nélson Telinhos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Paixão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 98 minutes, Silvestre Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Valbona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 100 minutes into the match, Domingos Álvares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nélson Telinhos. SC Valbona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingos Álvares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0.
