One of Victory St United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MikeZone:s goal. The referee gave MikeZone a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Israel Matos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Victory St United's Augusto Lisboa. 0-1. When Victory St United's Sandro Andrade in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MikeZone's goalie prevented a goal. Augusto Lisboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Assunção in the 13th minute of the match. Alex Assunção took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Lisboa. Augusto Lisboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, MikeZone's Alex Assunção sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Lisboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Israel Matos hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Victory St United's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Pádua came free, but Augusto Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Morais charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Morais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of MikeZone booed when Victory St United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Victory St United's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Pádua came free, but Augusto Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hélder Pádua's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Lisboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Hélder Pádua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in MikeZone's zone, Humberto Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Vilar came out of the goal and Humberto Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandro Andrade to make the kick off. Sandro Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Vilar having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Andrade in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Vilar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Vilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MikeZone's Cristiano Vilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Andrade in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, MikeZone's Dimas Paiva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Augusto Lisboa. Augusto Lisboa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Cristiano Vilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Augusto Lisboa managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when MikeZone's Hélder Pádua fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Victory St United getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Gustavo Fonseca hit a great ball. Humberto Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Humberto Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Hélder Pádua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victory St United's Augusto Lisboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Victory St United from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Humberto Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Vilar was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 93rd minute Sandro Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Vilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The MikeZone supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MikeZone would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
