Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zeledon Bartoli started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Zeledon Bartoli made a precise shot to the right of Raimundo Gouveia. O Varzinense F.C.'s Raimundo Gouveia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Bartoli in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Rui Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Torres during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eduardo Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Noval's Adrian Manaskov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Maia in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Eduardo Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Noval booed when O Varzinense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Viriato Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Noval's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave O Varzinense F.C. the free kick. The supporters of O Varzinense F.C. booed when Noval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, André Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rui Reis struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Raimundo Gouveia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Noval. 43 minutes into the match, Noval's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Maia came free, but Adrian Manaskov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Manaskov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute, Zeledon Bartoli reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raimundo Gouveia. The goal made the score 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vasco Simões to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Bartoli in the 52nd minute of play forced O Varzinense F.C.'s goalkeeper Raimundo Gouveia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Malta hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes, Sakis Gonias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Noval and the O Varzinense F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeledon Bartoli in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Gouveia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 64 minutes into the match, Noval's goalkeeper Adrian Manaskov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Maia. Zeledon Bartoli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Gouveia having to make a save. In the 70th minute, Zeledon Bartoli made a precise shot to the right of Raimundo Gouveia. O Varzinense F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 79 played minutes Noval got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Torres. Zeledon Bartoli took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimundo Gouveia. Raimundo Gouveia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Zeledon Bartoli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noval walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
