David Correia's late challenge caught a Minhocas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Correia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SCPSporting Club Portugal's David Correia got a free kick in the 6th minute. Gonçalo Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When Maule Santos came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the SCPSporting Club Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maule Santos couldn't finish the play. If Gonçalo Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Pereira in the 12th minute of play. Maule Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Paulo Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wincenty Zbydniewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Simões having to interfere. In the 17th minute, one of SCPSporting Club Portugal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SCPSporting Club Portugal. The goalkeeper, Henrique Mota, was totally fooled by Minhocas's Albérico Seixas, who 20 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Lucas Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Minhocas's Albérico Seixas got a free kick in the 30th minute. Gonçalo Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lucas Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SCPSporting Club Portugal's Lucas Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Minhocas's Albérico Seixas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

Gonçalo Nascimento hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, SCPSporting Club Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Roriz came free, but Henrique Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Simões having to interfere. Paulo Simões came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by SCPSporting Club Portugal's Maule Santos. But to his dismay, Maule Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. SCPSporting Club Portugal's Lucas Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Simões made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Maule Santos sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute, Lucas Pereira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SCPSporting Club Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 80th minute, Horácio Garcez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armindo Roriz scored 2-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrique Mota, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, David Correia fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alípio Candal in the 91st minute of play forced SCPSporting Club Portugal's goalkeeper Henrique Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SCPSporting Club Portugal's Henrique Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Valério in the 92nd minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SCPSporting Club Portugal players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
