The referee ignored SC Anobra's protests and gave Albertino Bessa a yellow card for diving instead. Albertino Bessa kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Mariano Moutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, SC Anobra's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Neves came free, but Basílio Jesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to SC Anobra getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Sebastião Neto hit a great ball. Basílio Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Moutinho in the 29th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, SC Espinho's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Pereira came free, but Abel Bessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

SC Anobra's Basílio Jesus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save SC Anobra from getting a goal against them. Mariano Moutinho struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Basílio Jesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Espinho. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Paulo Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Anobra's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Bessa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the game, Óscar Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Abel Bessa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the SC Espinho defense, Óscar Moreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Bessa. The SC Espinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Bessa should have stopped the shot. Mariano Moutinho struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Basílio Jesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Espinho. Fernando Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Basílio Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Anobra's Ricardo Oliveira got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Fernando Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basílio Jesus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Moreira in the 88th minute of play forced SC Espinho's goalkeeper Abel Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, SC Espinho's Diogo Guarda seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Diogo Guarda the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Espinho protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Diogo Guarda had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 95th minute, one of SC Espinho:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Espinho. Humberto Lisboa shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
