The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Veríssimo Sanches fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Serranheira FC's protests and gave Veríssimo Sanches a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Serranheira FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Veríssimo Sanches hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrício Antunes in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diamantino Sampaio saved Serranheira FC from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Serranheira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Antunes came free, but Diamantino Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabrício Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Aspra FC booed when Serranheira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Baião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adão Câmara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Amável Vaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Sacramento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Adão Câmara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Sacramento having to interfere. Serranheira FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
