SC Guardas's Ricardo Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute of the match Patrício Sesimbra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Leiria skillfully saved the ball. Aloísio Toscano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 65th playminute. Rui Leiria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aloísio Toscano in the 73rd minute.
