After a defensive mix-up in Metades FC's zone, Rui Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesário Candal came out of the goal and Rui Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Metades FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Vladimiro Távora hit a great ball. When Leonardo Dias fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metades FC's protests and gave Leonardo Dias a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Dias in the 14th minute of play forced Anjo Mortal's goalkeeper Afonso Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Metades FC booed when Anjo Mortal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, José Assis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesário Candal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Américo Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesário Candal having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Metades FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nélson Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Cesário Candal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Garcia in the 29th minute of the match. Cesário Candal came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Anjo Mortal's Rui Garcia. But to his dismay, Rui Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Cesário Candal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Assis went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Metades FC's goalkeeper Cesário Candal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Metades FC's zone, Rui Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesário Candal came out of the goal and Rui Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesário Candal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Assis, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Assis made a kick off. Rui Garcia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Cesário Candal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. José Assis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Anjo Mortal's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cesário Candal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Cesário Candal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Assis in the 60th minute of play. In the 66th minute Anjo Mortal were awarded a corner. Bruno Ferro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Anjo Mortal's Bruno Ferro to fire away a dangerous shot which Cesário Candal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rui Garcia in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cesário Candal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Samuel Freire's late challenge caught a Anjo Mortal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Freire helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Anjo Mortal booed when Metades FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Rui Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sérgio Garcia during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Anjo Mortal booed when Metades FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saúl Leão hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Cesário Candal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Assis in the 84th minute of play. Rui Garcia struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Cesário Candal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anjo Mortal. Américo Pinheiro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When the final whistle sounded Anjo Mortal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Metades FC.
