Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when João Abreu made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the game, David Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portunhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Categal the free kick. David Garcia hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eurico Brito in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte Marques saved Portunhos from getting behind. Duarte Marques had great luck who in the 6thth minute grab hold of the ball when Eurico Brito from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The supporters of Categal booed when Portunhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Categal's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Cabral came free, but Renato Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renato Matos came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Portunhos's Bernardino Guillelmo. But to his dismay, Bernardino Guillelmo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 33rd minute Eurico Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Brito in the 38th minute of the match. Duarte Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Brito in the 39th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eurico Brito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Portunhos got a freekick which was hit by Armando Cabral. 59 minutes into the match, Portunhos's João Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renato Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Eurico Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Rodrigues hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Egídio Viana scored 2-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Duarte Marques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 77 played minutes Categal got a freekick which was hit by Marco Rodrigues. After having played for 84 minutes, Bernardino Guillelmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portunhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardino Guillelmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Portunhos's Duarte Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico Brito in the 86th minute of play. Portunhos's Joaquim Brito managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Egídio Viana in the 90 minute of the game. 91 minutes into the match, Categal's goalkeeper Renato Matos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Abreu. After 93 played minutes Categal got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Azeredo. Duarte Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eurico Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Categal were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
