An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Barros in the 26th minute of play forced Bonaval FC's goalkeeper Pedro Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Américo Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raul Freitas's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Cristiano Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
