In the 6thth minute of the game Tiago Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marroquil FC's Virgílio Quental was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Teófilo Bragança had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henrique Almeida took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgílio Quental. Virgílio Quental dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Pedro Jesus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josué Lustosa in the 18th minute. Dércio Cabral hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Américo Igrejas during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 22 minutes into the match, Marroquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Santos came free, but Virgílio Quental reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Pedro Jesus successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Américo Igrejas got his second yellow card in the match during the 26th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 26th match minute, Marroquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Igrejas to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Retaxo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Jesus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josué Lustosa. Henrique Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Tiago Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marroquil FC's Virgílio Quental was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Jesus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angélico Sequeira in the 45th minute. After the first half Retaxo FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angélico Sequeira to make the kick off. Angélico Sequeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Dércio Cabral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marroquil FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. A hard shot 62 in the game by Tiago Santos from a close distance when the talented Virgílio Quental managed to make a qualified save. Marroquil FC's players were relieved. 68 minutes into the match, Retaxo FC's Paulo Paredes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgílio Quental narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristiano Almeida's late challenge caught a Marroquil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Retaxo FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Almeida. Tiago Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tiago Santos had several of the Marroquil FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-5 score and a disappointed Virgílio Quental as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the final whistle sounded Retaxo FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marroquil FC.
