Spectators: 7129 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Paulo Tavares took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Albertino Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Auckland City's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertino Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Altino Vilas Boas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albertino Rodrigues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Altino Vilas Boas made a huge save. After 18 played minutes Paulo Tavares could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-0 into the left cross. Paulo Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Altino Vilas Boas having to interfere. Altino Vilas Boas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Rochel booed when Auckland City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Albertino Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Altino Vilas Boas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Albertino Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertino Rodrigues got free with Altino Vilas Boas in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Paulo Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Auckland City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Tavares couldn't finish the play. Paulo Tavares in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Altino Vilas Boas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renato Gago to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Albertino Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Altino Vilas Boas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Altino Vilas Boas came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Auckland City's Albertino Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Albertino Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 66 minutes, Paulo Tavares made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Rochel's Altino Vilas Boas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Albertino Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Altino Vilas Boas having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Duarte Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Auckland City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Paulo Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Altino Vilas Boas having to interfere. After some careless play in the SC Rochel defense, Albertino Rodrigues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Altino Vilas Boas. The SC Rochel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Altino Vilas Boas should have stopped the shot.
