Gaspar Freitas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Baião's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duarte Barbosa during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th match minute, SC Carpalhosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Macoida FC's Bento Matias broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ramiro Furtado might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaspar Freitas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Furtado ran back to his position shaking his head. Miguel Soeiro hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Baião cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gaspar Freitas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27thth minute of the game Ramiro Furtado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Carpalhosa's Gaspar Freitas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Reis's late challenge caught a Macoida FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Reis helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Carpalhosa! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sálvio Onofre in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaspar Freitas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SC Carpalhosa's Américo Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, SC Carpalhosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Leal to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Ramiro Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronaldo Baião struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Gaspar Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macoida FC. In the 44th minute, Duarte Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The SC Carpalhosa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Macoida FC were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Américo Gueifão to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Baião dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gaspar Freitas, 0-4. 1-4 became the score in the 58th minute when Américo Gueifão elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 64th match minute, Macoida FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Henriques to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SC Carpalhosa getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. José Leal hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Duarte Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Baião in the 69th minute of play forced SC Carpalhosa's goalkeeper Gaspar Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Freitas was a little too slow when Ronaldo Baião got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-5. A collision led to Macoida FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Miguel Soeiro hit a great ball. SC Carpalhosa's Gaspar Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save SC Carpalhosa from getting a goal against them. SC Carpalhosa's Gaspar Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Baião in the 84th minute of play. Ramiro Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Gaspar Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Carpalhosa's Américo Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Macoida FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
