Celso Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Serafim Bernardes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, SC Sequeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Cavaco came free, but Eduardo Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, NunoTeam's goal looked a bit too open when Catarino Leiria came free, but Celso Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Catarino Leiria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Catarino Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Sequeiro's Eusébio Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celso Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Leiria in the 34th minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, SC Sequeiro's Catarino Leiria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celso Severo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 36th match minute, SC Sequeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Mota to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Catarino Leiria charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Catarino Leiria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Catarino Leiria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Leiria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Catarino Leiria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Rodrigues got free with Celso Severo in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute, Paulo Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute Serafim Bernardes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Catarino Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Severo having to interfere. Eusébio Rodrigues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Severo having to make a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The NunoTeam fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Sequeiro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
