After a rather tough play, FCDepressão's Hélder Pais got a free kick in the 11th minute. 17 minutes into the match, CLUBE DO RIO F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Pessoa came free, but Luís Moutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Altino Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, FCDepressão's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Pinho came free, but Francisco Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Vítor Pessoa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of CLUBE DO RIO F.C's Luís Moutinho. Luís Moutinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francisco Teles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeu Sarmento's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Hipólito Santiago took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Moutinho. CLUBE DO RIO F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 37th minute Vítor Pessoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Trindade during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute, Altino Resende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vítor Pessoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Moutinho having to interfere. Silvano Diegues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Moutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Altino Resende in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Pessoa in the 59th minute of play forced CLUBE DO RIO F.C's goalkeeper Luís Moutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 81st minute of the game was made by Alexandre Gonçalves with Afonso Reis as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Vítor Pessoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 91st minute, FCDepressão's Angelo Figueiras seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Angelo Figueiras the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FCDepressão protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Angelo Figueiras had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 90th minute, one of FCDepressão:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FCDepressão. In the 92nd minute, CLUBE DO RIO F.C got a penalty, and Alvise Farina placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. In the 97th minute, Silvano Diegues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FCDepressão were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
