Miguel Carvalho's late challenge caught a Tagim FC CC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Messines FC's Miguel Carvalho got a free kick in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Gueifão got free with Pedro Soares in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Jorge Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wlodzimierz Wysocki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nuno Carneiro succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Nuno Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Wlodzimierz Wysocki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Messines FC's Jorge Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wlodzimierz Wysocki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rodrigo Gueifão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Pedro Soares made a huge save. Jorge Amorim struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Wlodzimierz Wysocki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Messines FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Santarém in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Soares saved Messines FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Abel Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tagim FC CC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Santarém was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Abel Santarém made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nuno Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Nuno Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wlodzimierz Wysocki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Paulo Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Messines FC's Lucas Matos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Wlodzimierz Wysocki but with some difficulty. Pedro Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Gueifão's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. When Abel Santarém came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Tagim FC CC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Santarém couldn't finish the play. Filipe Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Nuno Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Wlodzimierz Wysocki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Marques hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Carneiro in the 77th minute of play forced Tagim FC CC's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Wysocki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Nuno Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. But to his dismay, Abel Santarém quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 3-2 became the score in the 92nd minute when Abel Santarém elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tagim FC CC had won after a very even match.
