In the 13th minute Jacob Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Quintas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vítor Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Jacob Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrico's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacob Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armindo Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacob Martins hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Alexandre Ferreira hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Jacob Martins fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carrico's protests and gave Jacob Martins a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Carrico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Martins to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Alexandre Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The wind increased when Jacob Martins made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Jacob Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Assis in the 55th minute of play forced Carrico's goalkeeper António Quintas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AC GranD CC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Assis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute Tiago Assis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Quintas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Quintas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Ferreira in the 91st minute of play. After some careless play in the Carrico defense, Vítor Teixeira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Quintas. The Carrico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Quintas should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AC GranD CC fully deserved thier win.
