In the 15th match minute, Santorum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Eusébio Antunes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Mansilha. Alguber's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Antunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Alexandre Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernando Mansilha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Antunes in the 24th minute of the match. Fernando Mansilha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusébio Antunes went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Eduardo Melo could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Fernando Mansilha however easily saved by the left post. In the 46th match minute, Santorum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Melo to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Álvaro Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Fernando Mansilha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santorum FC. After 53 played minutes Alguber got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Guerreiro. After some careless play in the Alguber defense, Eusébio Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Mansilha. The Alguber fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Mansilha should have stopped the shot. Fernando Mansilha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Eusébio Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santorum FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Alexandre Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Mansilha having to interfere. In the 71st minute Álvaro Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Mansilha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Mansilha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 73 played minutes Alguber got a freekick which was hit by Ilídio Almeida. Santorum FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
