The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Sérgio Freire made the kick off in the second half. The Braga FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Jairo Pimentel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Ferrão, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Nivaldo Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Ponta Do Pargo's Nivaldo Madureira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alberto Moreira. Alberto Moreira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ponta Do Pargo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
