In the 4th minute, Hélio Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paranhos FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Vasques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot by Ricardo Melo from long distance, 10 minutes into the match, got Eusébio Vasques's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Eusébio Vasques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Paranhos FC's Eusébio Vasques got control of the ball when Carlos Trindade tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Aldo Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paranhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jordão Queiroga hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Tomás Assis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eusébio Vasques came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomás Assis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Paranhos FC's Carlos Torres got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Mariano Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldo Camargo's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Trindade in the 40th minute of play forced Paranhos FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Vasques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jordão Queiroga charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jordão Queiroga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Este booed when Paranhos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordão Queiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Vasques was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Tomás Assis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomás Assis really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Assis made a kick off. Carlos Torres hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Tomás Assis notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Paranhos FC's Eusébio Vasques. Eusébio Vasques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 62nd minute, Paranhos FC's Elias Lima seemed to kick out at an opponent. Eusébio Vasques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Moutinho in the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of SC Este booed when Paranhos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Brás took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eusébio Vasques. Paranhos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Manuel Mendonça got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 90th minute, Paranhos FC's Aldo Camargo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. Aldo Camargo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mariano Correia came out and tried to block the shot, but Aldo Camargo slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 94th minute. Mariano Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Mendonça in the 99th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Este fans cheered their team off the field, for while Paranhos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
