Rafael Barbosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 14 minutes into the match, Muxagata's goal looked a bit too open when Amílcar Rocha came free, but Vladimiro Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Daniel Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aprígio Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rafael Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flávio Toscano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vladimiro Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Rocha in the 55th minute of the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Flávio Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muxagata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flávio Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vladimiro Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The Muxagata supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Muxagata would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
