Spectators: 6817 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Germano Eiró started the match with the kick off. Hélder Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gil Madruga during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gil Madruga hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Hélder Costa struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Cândido Macena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cubalhao. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emílio Melo in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cândido Macena saved VR Eagles from getting behind. Pedro Fidalgo's late challenge caught a SC Cubalhao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Fidalgo helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Fidalgo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. António Setúbal hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Germano Eiró fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Domingues having to interfere. Cândido Macena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Melo in the 28th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Emílio Melo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cândido Macena was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Emílio Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Macena having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game Alexandre Coimbra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VR Eagles's Cândido Macena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. VR Eagles's Cândido Macena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Melo in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to VR Eagles getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Germano Eiró hit a great ball. Alexandre Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Macena having to interfere.

The audience was convinced that Germano Eiró's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Américo Domingues was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Emílio Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emílio Melo got free with Cândido Macena in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Emílio Melo could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Cândido Macena however easily saved by the left post. Alexandre Coimbra in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cândido Macena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. SC Cubalhao's Daniel Setúbal was substituted for Emílio Melo. In the 72nd match minute, SC Cubalhao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Melo to maneuver through the defense. VR Eagles's Cândido Macena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save VR Eagles from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes into the match, VR Eagles's goalkeeper Cândido Macena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Setúbal. In the 81st match minute, VR Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar Lage to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Cubalhao's Alexandre Coimbra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cândido Macena. That made the score 0-2 after 83 minutes of play. In the 87th minute Alexandre Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Macena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Setúbal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Cândido Macena skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cândido Macena came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Cubalhao's Alexandre Coimbra. But to his dismay, Alexandre Coimbra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. SC Cubalhao played a much better game than VR Eagles and deserved their victory. The VR Eagles players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
