Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Américo Brás started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Alberto Luz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sandro Madureira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Dantas in the 15th minute of play forced SC Verdelhos's goalkeeper Sandro Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Abel Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nordeste FC's protests and gave Abel Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Abel Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 23 minutes, Américo Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Verdelhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Américo Brás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, SC Verdelhos's Veríssimo Figueiredo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 31st minute, SC Verdelhos's Américo Brás dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Verdelhos's goalkeeper Sandro Madureira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sandro Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Dantas in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Nordeste FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Oliveira Carneiro hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Nordeste FC's Joaquim Monteiro got a free kick in the 44th minute. Anselmo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anselmo Silva struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Lúcio Leiria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Verdelhos. In the 54th minute, Américo Brás made a precise shot to the right of Lúcio Leiria. Nordeste FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Américo Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Leiria having to interfere. Catarino Bettencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lúcio Leiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Brás in the 64th minute of the match. SC Verdelhos's Anselmo Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Alberto Luz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 68 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sandro Madureira was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. SC Verdelhos's Sandro Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Dantas in the 70th minute of play. Sandro Madureira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Luz in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Amadeu Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nordeste FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandro Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Dantas in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Américo Brás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Verdelhos's Américo Brás got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Luz struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Sandro Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nordeste FC. In the 88th match minute, Nordeste FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliveira Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Dantas struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Sandro Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nordeste FC. After a defensive mix-up in SC Verdelhos's zone, Alberto Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandro Madureira came out of the goal and Alberto Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Sandro Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
