Gaspar Freire came out of the goal and Alberto Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, SC Guine's goalkeeper Gaspar Freire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Monteiro. If João Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Sistais's João Esteves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaspar Freire narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isidoro Cavaco's late challenge caught a Sistais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Esteves made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Alberto Monteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaspar Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 59th minute, Alberto Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Viriato Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sistais's protests and gave Viriato Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. When Alberto Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Sistais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Monteiro couldn't finish the play. Micael Pestana kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Alberto Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Gaspar Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Sistais:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Guine:s goal. Alexandre Liberato walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Nuno Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Nuno Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 played minutes Sistais got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Gaspar. Alberto Monteiro scored 2-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaspar Freire, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. André Azenha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sistais's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
