Vítor Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graciano Martins in the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Cheleiros getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Carlos Correia hit a great ball. After 16 played minutes SC Cheleiros got a freekick which was hit by Abel Santos. 20 minutes into the game, Albérico Candal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Gabriel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Cheleiros the free kick. Albérico Candal kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Nuno Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Souto having to interfere. Mariano Rocha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Eliseu Souto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, SC Gabriel's Eliseu Souto got control of the ball when Abel Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abel Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Souto having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, SC Cheleiros's Mariano Rocha made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliseu Souto was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to SC Cheleiros getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Carlos Correia hit a great ball. Luís Almeida hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With a little luck, SC Cheleiros's Vítor Faro got control of the ball when Graciano Martins tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Carlos Correia fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Cheleiros's protests and gave Carlos Correia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, SC Cheleiros's Bento Cabral seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bento Cabral the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Cheleiros protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bento Cabral had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 84th minute, one of SC Cheleiros:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Cheleiros. SC Cheleiros's Vítor Faro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save SC Cheleiros from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeu Barbosa during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. SC Gabriel's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
