Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. David Ramos started the match with the kick off. Paulo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Matias in the 7th minute of play. Júlio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Leão having to interfere. Rui Matias might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Matias ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Matias in the 14th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Carvalhicas FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Pacheco. Carvalhicas FC's Paulo Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Carvalhicas FC from getting a goal against them. David Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Coimbra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Rui Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Paulo Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Diogo Ferreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Leão. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogério Macedo in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Coimbra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Corredoura's goal looked a bit too open when David Ramos came free, but Jorge Coimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Rui Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corredoura's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Matias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rui Matias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Guarda hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Matias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rui Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Coimbra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogério Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Matias in the 62nd minute of play forced Carvalhicas FC's goalkeeper Paulo Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rogério Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílcar Delgado's late challenge caught a Corredoura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amílcar Delgado helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Carvalhicas FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Amílcar Delgado hit a great ball. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Corredoura's goalkeeper Jorge Coimbra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Corredoura's Júlio Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Leão having to interfere. Paulo Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Matias, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Jorge Coimbra came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Carvalhicas FC's Rogério Macedo. But to his dismay, Rogério Macedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Júlio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Paulo Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Matias struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Paulo Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corredoura. Corredoura were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
